The financial year has capped off another remarkable 12 months – not just for Community First, but also for our members, staff and communities within which we live and operate.

Despite many of us being pandemic-weary, our people have demonstrated tremendous dedication and are to be commended for their vigilance in helping to keep our members safe, their work colleagues safe and the balance sheet of our organisation prudentially safe whilst continuing to deliver exceptional service at all times.

We have been in operation since 1959 and have weathered many storms including recessions, the Global Financial Crisis of 2008/09, and more recently, a global pandemic. This breadth of experience tells us that tomorrow will always bring new challenges. Our balance sheet for the 2021/22 financial year further showcases our resilience.

For the second successive year, Community First experienced significantly higher than expected lending volumes in the first half of the financial year which built on last year’s record lending growth. This accelerated growth allowed us to focus on other parts of our business in the second half, such as driving a digital services evolution for members.but we stand confident, knowing that Community First is a strong and viable financial institution.

Our efforts and prudent financial management have been rewarded with very exciting results. To read more about Community First and our performance in the 2021-22 financial year, view our 2022 annual report here.
