  • The closure of your credit card account
  • A reduction in your credit card limit

To close your credit card account

If you are the account holder, you can cancel your credit card by:

  1. Sending a secure email to us online through Internet Banking by logging in, going to the 'Inbox' tab, selecting 'Email' then 'New Email'.
  2. Contacting our Contact Centre on 1300 13 22 77 between Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturday 8am - 3pm.
  3. Visiting your local Financial Services store.
  4. Fill out the Reduce Credit Card Limit Form and either scan it to askus@communityfirst.com.au or post it to PO Box 98, Lidcombe NSW 1825.
  5. Using the online form.

For any of the above methods, we may call you back to ask some security and authentication questions before providing you with any further details. You can obtain your payout figure at any time by calling us on 1300 13 22 77.

Things you should know

  • We will cancel your card as soon as we can provided that you must first repay to us the amount of any outstanding balance of the credit card account, including any accrued interest and fees, and cancel any direct debit authorisations linked to it.
  • Upon termination of the contract all cards linked to the credit card account will be cancelled. You must destroy your card and any additional card and remove all card and card details from any digital wallet to which your card is registered. You may terminate any additional credit card linked to the credit card account at any time by making a request to us.
  • If there is a credit balance on the credit card account when it is closed we will pay it to you by crediting the amount to any other account you have with us; or by sending you a cheque or as you direct us in writing.

To decrease your credit card limit

If you are the account holder, you can decrease your credit card limit by:

  1. Sending a secure email to us online through Internet Banking by logging in, going to the 'Inbox' tab, selecting 'Email' then 'New Email'. 
  2. Contacting our Contact Centre on 1300 13 22 77 between Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturday 8am - 3pm.
  3. Visiting your local Financial Services store
