Credit cards are useful for all sorts of reasons. They can be helpful if you’re in an emergency situation and need access to money quickly, or you can use them to make purchases online or overseas.

Many Community First members also benefit from their credit card’s 'up to 55 days interest free' period by paying their balance for purchases in full each month by the due date. It’s the best way to ensure you don’t pay any interest on your purchases.

Choose what really counts

At Community First, we believe in simplicity, true value and no nasty surprises. So although you won’t earn rewards points with our credit cards, both our cards offer the same low rate for purchases, cash advances and balance transfers.

Our award winning credit cards – the Low Rate Credit Credit and the McGrath Pink Visa Credit Card– both have low ongoing interest rates of just 8.99% p.a.

Annual fees

Both cards also have a low annual fee of just $40. But if you decide to take up our McGrath Pink Visa credit card, then half of the card’s annual fee ($20) is donated to the McGrath Foundation. $20 may not sound like much, but, to date our McGrath card holders have raised over $570,000 for the McGrath Foundation.

The McGrath Foundation raises money to place specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses wherever they're needed and seeks to increase breast health understanding. McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support, from the time of diagnoses and throughout treatment.
