How do I apply?
|You can apply for a Matrimoney account online in 4 easy steps. Alternatively, you can apply over the phone by calling 1300 13 22 77 or apply in person at one of our Financial Services Stores.|
What do I need to apply?
|All applicants will need to provide their wedding date, address and contact details.|
If you are an existing Member of Community First Credit Union, there is nothing additional you need to provide other than a few basic details in the Matrimoney application form such as your member number, wedding date and Matrimoney password.
You need to be a member of Community First to take advantage of our products and services. If you are not an existing Member of Community First Credit Union, we are required to collect $2 from you to pay for your Member share. This is fully refundable should you decide to cancel your membership later. You can nominate a bank account for us to debit your $2 share from, or if you are applying over the phone or in-store, you can elect to deposit your $2 share over the counter at any of our Financial Services Stores.
Applicants who are not yet members will also need to provide proof of ID. If applying online, be sure to have some items such as your Medicare Card or Passport handy so we can attempt to verify your identity online instantly.
What happens after I complete my application?
|As soon as you submit your application, you will be able to login to the Matrimoney website instantly and begin editing your personal profile. Your personal profile is what your guests will see when they search for your name on the site and will include a photo of you and your partner, a welcome message and any wedding details you'd like to include.|
When you click the 'publish' button on your profile for the first time, we will review and publish your profile page within one business day so it will be visible to guests. All updates made to your page after this time will be instant. Please note that we cannot publish your page until your identity is verified and your account is activated.
What will my profile page look like?
|You can view a sample couple's profile page here. This will give you an idea of what your page will look like. You are free to upload your own photo, the details of your wedding and your own welcome message for guests. The welcome message you see on the sample page in the link above is used as an example only, however you are free to use the same wording we have if you like.|
What does it cost?
|The Matrimoney account is absolutely free! When you become a Member of Community First, we are required to collect $2 from you to pay for your Member share, however this is fully refundable should you close your membership later. We do not charge you to access your money after your wedding date however transaction fees may apply. You should refer to our schedule of fees and charges for more information.|
How will our guests know we have a Matrimoney account?
|Once you have opened your account, you will be able to order your Matrimoney cards to insert in your wedding invitations by logging in to the Matrimoney site. When guests receive their wedding invitation from you, the Matrimoney card will instruct them to visit matrimoney.com.au to find your profile and choose a payment option.|
How will we know if and when a guest gives us a cash gift?
|You can elect to receive either SMS or email alerts each time your Matrimoney account receives a credit. The alerts will simply tell you the amount that has been deposited, not who has deposited it.|
How long does it take to receive the Matrimoney cards?
|When you order your Matrimoney cards, you should allow approximately 7-10 working days to receive them in the mail. If you require an express delivery, please call us on|

Can I make my own Matrimoney cards?
|It is not mandatory to use our Matrimoney cards. Some couples may prefer to include instructions on their invitation about how to donate to their Matrimoney account. Please note however that the Matrimoney logo cannot be used or reproduced with out our approval.|
How can guests without internet access make a payment to the Matrimoney account?
|Easy. They can make out a cheque to the bride and groom and post it to PO Box 98, Lidcombe NSW 1825. Alternatively, they can visit one of our financial services stores to make a payment in person over the counter.|

Is there a cut off date for payments?
|No, however we recommend that guests make their cash gift at least 5 working days prior to the wedding. This ensures that if they wish to order a receipt card to insert in the wedding card they give you on the day, they can. It also ensures that when you check your Matrimoney account balance on or after your wedding day, it represents the final balance.|

How do I edit my profile page?
|To edit your profile page, click 'Couples login' from the top right hand side of the Matrimoney site. An orange box will appear where you can enter your username and password. Your username is your email address. If you forget your password, you can click on the forgotten password feature.|

How do we access our Matrimoney Account?
|You can access your Matrimoney account via Internet Banking, Telephone Banking, or via our Mobile Banking App on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Using these services, you can obtain an account balance, make deposits and withdrawals after your wedding day, maintain your personal details and manage your SMS and email alerts.|
Can we access our money before our wedding date?
|No. Prior to your wedding, your MatriMoney account is set up as a 'two to sign' operation prior to your wedding day to ensure that both the bride and groom are aware of any transactions on the account. After your wedding day, you can change this so that either can operate the account without needing approval from the other.|
Do we need to provide proof of our marriage before we access our money?
|No. You will be free to access your money when you need to. Alternatively, you can leave your cash gifts in your account to earn interest and grow your overall gift even further.|
